Nocturnes | Wichita Editorial Photographer
Black and white, blurry, grainy images have been on my mind for the past year. The imperfection of it makes it feel like action is happening, and the camera just barely caught it. Perfection is overrated.
Not long after I started shooting for VIP Wichita Magazine last fall, I pitched this concept to the editor and fashion director. Six months later, it’s in print. Thank you to Tousled and Beauty Call Makeup for bringing some darkness and edge to the models’ looks.
New Models & Images model Anjola Fagbemi in her first shoot since signing to the agency.
Eden Carter snagged the cover with this shot.
After shooting her portfolio a couple of weeks prior, I specifically requested Daisy Braungardt for this shoot.
Using a mix of street lights and strobes to show off her motion, Anjola commands a metropolitan presence.

International model and agency owner, Alleigh Allen, steps in front of my camera for the first time.

Thank you, also, to Bonnie Bing for hunting down all black and white outfits from our local retailers to feature in this series. I love it when a plan comes together.
